FAQs

When should my child start preparing for the PSAT?
Students can begin preparing before the junior-year PSAT/NMSQT, especially if their school offers the PSAT 8/9 or PSAT 10 earlier. We help families use those earlier testing opportunities to build skills, identify areas for growth, and create a longer-term plan for the PSAT/NMSQT and SAT.
What is the difference between PSAT prep and SAT prep?
PSAT and SAT preparation overlap because the exams assess closely related reading, writing, math, and testing skills, but your student’s immediate goal and testing timeline differ. We can use PSAT preparation as part of a broader plan that builds toward the junior-year PSAT/NMSQT and future SAT test prep.
Can PSAT preparation also help with SAT preparation?
Yes. Because the PSAT and SAT are closely aligned, PSAT preparation can strengthen many of the reading, writing, math, pacing, and test-taking skills students will later use on the SAT. We can connect both tests within one evolving academic plan.
What should sophomores do now to prepare for college?
Sophomores can focus on building strong grades, choosing appropriately rigorous courses, developing meaningful interests, and beginning to understand future testing and college timelines. At C2 Education, we work with families to connect those decisions into an evolving academic plan rather than treating each milestone separately.
