At many of the nation’s most selective schools, test scores were correlated with higher admission rates — even under test optional policies. In the most competitive admission year on record, most students chose to submit test scores, and those scores were impressive! Vanderbilt

More than 50% of applicants submitted test scores — and they made up more than 60% of admitted students.

Notre Dame

The early admission rate for students without scores was 13.7%. That jumped to 29% for students who submitted test scores.

Penn

The early admission rate for students with scores was 18.4% — nearly twice as high as the non-score admission rate of 9.5%.
