FAQs

What should I look for in an ACT prep program?
A strong ACT prep program should combine diagnostic testing, personalized instruction, timed practice, and feedback on both content and pacing. At C2 Education, we build ACT plans around each student’s starting point, goals, and testing timeline, with targeted support and ongoing progress monitoring for students and parents.
When should students start preparing for the ACT?
Students should begin ACT preparation early enough to strengthen content, practice pacing, and make adjustments before their planned test date. The right timeline depends on your student’s starting point, goals, coursework, and schedule, so we work with families to build a preparation plan around those factors. We recommend that students aim to finalize their ACT scores by the spring of their junior year leaving the summer between junior and senior year to develop an admissions strategy and to focus on their personal statement and supplemental essays. This means that many of our most successful students begin ACT preparation as early as 9th or 10th grade in order to maximize their test scores.
Should my child take the SAT or ACT?
The SAT and ACT assess many similar academic skills, but their pacing, structure, and question types differ, so some students may prefer one experience over the other. We can use diagnostic testing and a consultation to help families evaluate the options and build a preparation plan around the test that fits your student the best.
How much does ACT prep cost?
The cost of ACT prep at C2 Education depends on the student’s starting point, score goals, test date, and recommended preparation plan. We begin by understanding your student’s academic profile and goals, then use that information—along with diagnostic results when appropriate—to develop a personalized plan and discuss program options with your family.
